Check how often a keyword appears in your text, for SEO content review.
The Keyword Density Calculator counts how many times a keyword or phrase appears in a block of text and expresses it as a percentage of the total word count — a quick reference check when reviewing content for natural keyword usage.
This counts whole-word, case-insensitive matches. There's no universally 'correct' keyword density — most modern SEO guidance favors natural, readable writing over hitting a specific percentage target.
In a 500-word article where the phrase "online calculator" appears 6 times, the density is (6 ÷ 500) × 100 = 1.2%, a fairly natural, moderate usage rate.
Keyword density = (times keyword appears ÷ total word count) x 100.
Not necessarily, and can hurt — search engines penalize "keyword stuffing." Natural, readable content generally performs better.
There's no strict rule, but many SEO practitioners suggest a natural-sounding range rather than targeting a fixed percentage.
