A wheelchair ramp rises 1 ft over a 12 ft run. Grade = (1/12) × 100 ≈ 8.33%. Angle = arctan(1/12) ≈ 4.76°. Slope Length = √(1² + 12²) ≈ 12.04 ft — a grade right around the common 1:12 accessibility standard.
Grade is a percentage (rise/run × 100); angle is in degrees using arctangent of rise/run.
Grade % = (vertical rise ÷ horizontal run) × 100.
Angle = arctan(rise ÷ run).
