Calculate your swim pace per 100m/100yd and your overall speed from a total distance and time.
Swim pace is usually expressed as the time it takes to cover 100 meters or 100 yards, making it easy to compare speed across different pool distances and workout sets.
Pace per 100 = Total Time (seconds) ÷ (Distance ÷ 100)
Swimming 1500 meters in 25 minutes 30 seconds gives a pace of about 1:42 per 100m, or roughly 3.53 km/h.
Pace = time ÷ distance, commonly per 100 meters or yards.
Multiply your per-100 pace by the total race distance in hundreds.
Pool workouts are structured around 25m/50m segments, making per-100 pace more natural.
