Enter your clock-in and clock-out time for each day of the week to calculate total hours worked, overtime, and total pay.
A time card calculator adds up the hours you clocked in and out across a full week, subtracts unpaid breaks, and applies your hourly rate — including time-and-a-half overtime pay once you pass a set weekly threshold (40 hours by default in many countries).
Daily Hours = (Time Out − Time In) − (Break Minutes ÷ 60)
Total Hours = Sum of daily hours for all 7 days
Regular Hours = min(Total Hours, Overtime Threshold)
Overtime Hours = max(Total Hours − Overtime Threshold, 0)
Total Pay = (Regular Hours × Hourly Rate) + (Overtime Hours × Hourly Rate × 1.5)
1. Enter the clock-in and clock-out time for each day you worked (leave a day blank if you didn't work it).
2. Enter any unpaid break time in minutes for each day.
3. Enter your hourly pay rate and your weekly overtime threshold (40 hours is standard in the US).
4. Click Calculate to see your total hours, overtime, and pay for the week.
Working 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM (8.5 hrs) with a 30-minute break, five days a week, at $20/hr:
Daily hours = 8.5 − 0.5 = 8 hours/day
Total hours = 8 × 5 = 40 hours (no overtime)
Total pay = 40 × $20 = $800.00
Summing time between clock-in and clock-out entries, subtracting unpaid breaks.
Total minutes worked converted to decimal hours for multiplication by hourly wage.
Some calculators flag or calculate overtime, though rules vary by jurisdiction.
